More Details Emerge Regarding Apple’s Future ‘Spaceship’ Campus

Late last week the city of Cupertino, California (where Apple HQ is currently located) posted more on Apple’s future campus they plan to build within the city. Remember, Apple unveiled their plans at Cupertino city council, while the rest of the company was occupied with WWDC back in June.

Anyway, we’ve learned that the new campus will have an office, an R&D building with 2.8 million square feet, a 1,000 seat corporate auditorium, a fitness center for employees, a 300,000 square foot research facility, a central plant, and underground parking. Not too shabby.

The new information is also accompanied by Apple’s proposal documents which are comprised of, an Introduction, Site Plan & landscaping, Floor Plans, and Renderings of the site and building.

Again, Apple’s plans, but in much less detail, were announced in June. Since then, the City of Cupertino has stated that they were certain to approve the proposal, and the building is expected to be completed by sometime in 2015.
