Report Claims Apple Set to Offer Next-Generation iPhone Pre-Orders on September 30th, October 7th Launch

Last week we heard a report claiming that Apple is aiming for an October 7th launch for the next-generation iPhone. A new report has surfaced from 9to5Mac extrapolating a little farther. That is, pre-orders starting on September 29th or 30th, and a hard launch for October 7th or 14th.

Of course, they caveat the report to no end, claiming that Apple’s launch timeline plans fluctuate, and can be unpredictable. To me, this reads as hot air- hot air that makes sense.

If you read between the lines, if the device will be available for pre-order at the end of September, then Apple will likely announce the device a few weeks prior. Which really isn’t a surprise. Of course, this whole looks like it’s going to be spread out over several weeks, with an announcement, then a pre-order timeframe, then an official launch.
