Reuters is reporting that Apple is building a lower-priced version of the iPhone 4 to be launched this fall alongside the much-rumored next-generation iPhone.
The new iPhone is said to be lower cost and sport only 8GB of storage. Additionally they claim this new, low-cost iPhone 4 will be launched alongside the next-generation iPhone at the end of September. They also claim that the new iPhone will look “largely identical” to the iPhone 4, but with a bigger screen, better antenna, and an 8-megapixel camera. Of course, this is in direct opposition to a series of case leaks we’ve seen in the past weeks, which suggest the next iPhone will look totally different than the current model.
The report is something of an anomaly seeing as actual parts from the new iPhone have begun to surface reportedly belonging to the next-generation model. Also adding to the confusion is the fact that the new, lower-cost iPhone 4 and the next-generation model have been in development, side-by-side thus the confusion regarding what the new model might look like.
