Unwire.hk has posted images of a screen protector, that is reportedly destined to be used with the next-generation iPhone. The two most noticeable features that give this away as a next-gen peripheral is the fact that it is larger than the iPhone 4, and that hole designated for the home button, is elongated, much like rumors have suggested.
This screen protector, along with other recent peripheral designs, are all based on a single leaked design document, which may or may not be authentic. That means we have to take this with a grain of salt. Also worth mentioning, is the fact that the hole in the screen protector, according to the design document, is required to be that size but doesn’t necessarily mean the button itself will be that size and shape.
The reason there has been so much doubt surrounding what the next-generation iPhone will look like, is the fact that we’ve heard so many conflicting reports, and the only parts to surface belong to a “N94″ model with an iPhone 4-like design.
It’s also possible that Apple will introduce two iPhone models. One to replace the 3GS and one to replace the iPhone 4, but we’ll have to wait until launch day to find out.
