Apple Working to Offer Movies in iCloud

itunes10logo380.jpgThe Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is closing in on final deals with major movie studios to allow iTunes customers to stream their purchased movies down to their devices.

Of course, Apple just yesterday officially rolled out their iCloud offerings. A feature that has been present since June however, was the ability for customers (at least here in the US) to redownload both music and TV shows to their devices.

This shouldn’t be world-shaking news. Even prior to the iCloud announcement, we had heard rumors that Apple was in negotiations with movie studios to bring redownloads to that area of the iTunes Store. To my mind, it’s only a matter of time before we see deals iron out, and this functionality in the store.

Personally, this would be wonderful. I never seem to have enough storage, so I can delete the movies I purchased, without losing them forever. You know, when I need the space for more important things.
