New MacBook Pro Part Numbers Surface, Suggest Imminent Update

Screen Shot 2011-10-13 at 5.14.01 PM.png9to5Mac is reporting that MacBook Pro supplies are currently constrained, and that new part numbers have appeared in Apple inventory system for all three MacBook Pro sizes. This lines up nicely with recent rumors that claim a processor speed bump is due by the end of the year.

Of course, there are also rumors circulating that the MacBook Pro line will be seeing a major case redesign, but that isn’t expected until next year alongside Intel’s introduction of the Ivy Bridge line of processors.

Also the reported part numbers are K90IA (13 inch), K91A (15 inch), and K92A (17 inch). These numbers are close to the numbers the current models carry, and thus suggest a minor update.
