California Declares Today ‘Steve Jobs Day’

California’s governor, Jerry Brown, has announced that today is ‘Steve Jobs Day’ in the state where Jobs lived throughout most of his life and where his company was founded and continues to thrive.

There’s also an invitation-only memorial service for Jobs at Stanford University today, and later this week Apple is holding an event for their employees which is said to be a celebration of Jobs’ life.
