Photo Stream may seem like a very simple service to share photos across all of your devices, but it’s well worth paying attention to exactly how it works within particular apps to make sure you know exactly how your photos are being treated in terms of file size, quality, edits, etc. Gaywood’s piece addresses how Photo Stream handles RAW files, edits made on iOS devices, and has a very good warning about the auto-upload feature that’s now present in Aperture (and iPhoto).
