IM+ from Shape Services, one of the better instant messaging platforms for iOS, has received an update that includes a few new interesting features:
- Access to Shape’s cross-platform (iOS, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Phone) instant messenger called “Beep”. Like BBM, Beep can be used as an alternative to SMS/MMS, with your entire contact list as your “buddy list”. The app has free and paid ($1.99) versions for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. and the Beep service is free.
- A new interactive Angry Birds theme with moving backgrounds behind pigs and birds and…..well, you know.
- The in-app location based “Neighbors” chat feature has added a ‘shouts’ feature for location based group chats.
