CES 2012: Liquipel Waterproofing for iPhone

On any normal day, that image would have given me fits. The same kind I get when I see some moron walk out of an Apple store on launch day and “Drop Test” an iPhone because like an idiot they want to see if it breaks. I imagine pouring a jug of water over an iPhone to be a similarly dumb test. But, it appears that may be coming to an end if Liquipel (site currently offline) has anything to do with it.

The process costs $59 and you’ll need to send your iPhone to them for a couple days. Honestly… I might think about doing this just so I can “Water Test” my iPhone in front of some poor waiter at the Texas SteakHouse on night!
