Bloomberg is adding more last minute details to Apple’s textbook-focused media event which is to be held tomorrow in New York at 10AM Eastern Time. Specifically, they note that the event will focus primarily on K-12 textbooks, and what companies of any size can do with Apple’s new publishing tool to be unveiled at the same time.

As for the tools themselves, the report claims that Apple will be supporting a new ePub standard, and the tools will make it easier for large companies, and self-publishers to move their content to the iPad. This means textbook publishers could create digital versions with embedded graphics and video.

For what it’s worth, Apple’s Eddy Cue and Roger Rosner are expected to lead the show. This is reminiscent of last year’s launch of “The Daily”, an iPad-only publication. At any rate, we’ll keep you up to date with tomorrow’s announcements.
