Humble Indie Bundle Features Great Mac Games On The Cheap

The fifth Humble Indie Bundle is still on offer for another nine days, and it’s simply stuffed with gaming gems. You can pay what you want to purchase Limbo, Amnesia: the Dark Descent, Psychonauts, and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP (reviewed here. But there’s also a bonus: if you pay more than the average (currently around $8), you’ll pick up a copy of Bastion, as well.

I can’t comment on Psychonauts and Limbo, but I have played a few of the other titles in the bundle.

I played Sword & Sworcery and loved it on the iPad. I wasn’t always totally about what I had to do, but the game was always totally engrossing, and the excellent soundtrack really brought the world to life.

Amnesia, on the other hand, scared me half to death. I was only ever able to play about three hours of it before I shakily uninstalled the game from my PC. If you have ever wondered how many buckets you could fill with your own fear-stained sweat, give Amnesia a shot.

My roommate only recently finished Bastion, and aside from the insane isometric action, the game features one of the coolest voiceovers I’ve ever heard.

All games in the Humble Indie Bundle are DRM-free and cross-platform, and you can choose exactly how much of your money goes to the developers, to charity, or to the organizers of the bundle itself. If you’ve been looking for some great gaming on the cheap, check out the Humble Indie Bundle homepage today.
