Siri uses that for searches too…..That would be an EPIC FAIL if it lost that…..

Off all the really cool things Siri does….the ability to QUICKLY search up a bussiness phone number is REALLY high up the list.

When it was first launched, Google local search was lacking in POI content but now it has improved quite a bit. Let’s hope Apple will have a good POI database.

The crowd driven information gathering could be epic. This could really be a dynamic on “the fly” tool to get iphone users around traffic congestion.

It will be interesting to see how much Apple and Google will flesh out their offerings over time. It’s the polish and the extremely detailed customization options that set the premium paid navigation apps apart from these native offerings. I wonder if they will ever truly stack up for power users, because neither can at this point.
