At that price, I’d consider buying one for the wife or daughter. Any more than that and I might as well get an iPad.
And, even at that price, I don’t know if they’d be happy with not getting an iPad.

Surface RT should be priced similarly to the iPad because it a match on hardware specs and it comes bundled Microsoft Office sweet.. and if it includes the Touch Cover it is even more competitive.

Surface Pro should price similarly to the 11″ Macbook Air. It is comparable in specs and can truly replace your laptop but in addition can fulfill your needs as a tablet.

It’s just crazy to think these devices are in the same category as the Kindle Fire.

Its not like the PC where you can side load a ton of programs , this should be more APP focused like the ipad and android.

This should allow them to price this product more at cost then maybe the pro version that can ,one would think , can run regular pc software.

If they want to carve out market share…they need be aggressive.
