Ron Melkhior’s AppSliders Jailbreak Tweak Can Add Two Apps to Your iPhone Lockscreen

According to this tweet from Ron Melkhior, AppSliders was updated last night, and it has almost-instantly become one of my favourite iPhone jailbreak tweaks. But this post is less about the actual update, and more about how you'll definitely want to check AppSliders out on Cydia.

AppSliders lets you place up to two of your own apps right on the lock screen, on either side of the unlock slider. I haven't decided on whether I'll ever actually want to add a second app to the lock screen (Drafts is a good candidate), but I'm very happy to have a shortcut to Camera+ instead of the default Camera app.

I had previously tried to use another one of Melkhior's tweaks, GrabberApp, to replace the Camera app shortcut, but had a few technical issues. Camera+ would load properly when I slid the lock screen upward, but pressing the Home button afterwards would be seen as a double-tap by iOS, which almost always brought me back to the Spotlight screen (and not whatever home screen I was supposed to be on).

Fortunately, AppSliders has no such issues: you select that you want sitting beside your unlock slider, and then you tap on them to launch them. It's free, so check it out on Cydia!
