Checkmark is a new location-based reminder app that's now for $0.99 on the iPhone. The app already has a slick video to explain its main selling points, but I like Shawn Blanc's review the most. He calls Checkmark a sort of “Reminders plus” with a more accurate location alert system, and the fact that you can set reminders to pop up x minutes after arriving or leaving a place sounds like a fantastic idea.
Checkmark looks like it should be great for reminding yourself about milk at the grocery store or pinging yourself to bring wine to the cottage as you drive away from home – and it should be a lot easier than for situations in which you cannot rely on Siri to set up a reminder for you.
