Scratch is a new ultra-fast notepad app from Karbon for the iPhone. I want to gobble it up because it’s gorgeous, loads up straight to the editing screen, and can append the text you write straight to a text file in Dropbox (perfect for ongoing notes). It also has one of those nifty customizable toolbars that we’ve been seeing in note and task apps lately.
The only thing stopping me from buying right now is the question of whether or not I really need Scratch. After all, I’m already using Drafts for quickly taking notes and sending them off to Twitter and Evernote. But, then again, I like what I’ve heard from Ben Brooks about how Scratch launches faster than Drafts…so this really isn’t a very easy choice.
I’m going to mull this one over for a bit, but you can check Scratch out on the App Store now. It costs $3.
