Time has released their list of the 20 most influential Americans of all time. The late Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder and former CEO was the last entry on the list (which was sorted chronologically). Other people on the list were the likes of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Henry Ford. Here’s an excerpt:
Jobs was a visionary whose great genius was for design: he pushed and pushed to make the interface between computers and people elegant, simple and delightful. He always claimed his goal was to create products that were “insanely great.” Mission accomplished.
This piece is part of a larger promotion of Time’s new book which outlines the 100 most influential people of all time. Jobs also makes that list.
Let’s face it, love or loath, Steve Jobs has influenced the tech industry forever, and considering how much modern life revolves around tech, it’s arguable that he’s influenced most people’s lives in some fashion. That’s lasting work.
