I’ve just switched my iPhone plan over to Koodo’s Canada-Wide Super 6GB plan, which is on special offer until August 9. It’s still a no-contract plan that I can cancel at any time – but significantly more awesome than the $50 1GB Canada-Wide plan I’d originally signed up for. The stupendously cool plan details are listed in the screenshot above, but the major thing I’d like to point out here is that caller ID is actually included for free (which isn’t so with carriers like Bell or Rogers).
Before hopping onto this new plan, I looked up my usage rates for the past month. I used 40/250 minutes and 500 MB/1000 MB, so I wasn’t really in any danger of paying major overage fees. I’m giving this new plan a shot anyway because I can’t resist the thrill of having near-unlimited data for apps and tethering. 6GB plans only tend to come once a year in Canada, and the extra $10/month for 6GB, unlimited incoming calling, and 5PM evenings and weekends seems well worth it.
Regardless of your carrier, if you’re an iPhone user in Canada, you’ll want to check your relevant plan websites to see if there’s a 6GB plan to your taste. Most of the offers expire in early August, so you’d better be quick about it!
