iMore is reporting that pre-orders for the next-generation iPhone will begin on September 12th, the same day it is widely believed that the new device will be unveiled to the public. Other sources are claiming that the new iPhone will launch on September 21st.
The post also notes that first wave of releases will be in the United States and a handful of other countries. The second wave of releases will begin in the first week of October. For what it’s worth, iMore was the first source to claim that Apple would be unveiling the new iPhone on September 12th- a date that has since been confirmed by other sources.
Additionally, a report from BGR claims that AT&T is planning for the launch of the new iPhone in late September, seemingly backing up the report from iMore. The report also claims that AT&T is moving into “all-hands-on-deck” mode through the middle of October to handle the increased sales.
At this time, it seems we’ll be seeing the new iPhone for the first time on September 12th, will be able to pre-order it the same day, and by the end of the month, have it delivered to our doors. I can’t wait.
