Two days ago, Motion Math released a math app designed for helping pre-schoolers, primary schoolers, and early elementary students identify and add numbers in a fun, easy-to-play game. Motion Math: Hungry Guppy helps children build a strong sense of addition and what numbers represent – for example: “•••” and “3” have the same meaning.

“Hungry Guppy helps children develop three key skills crucial for subsequent math achievement: understanding numbers, the quantities those numbers represent, and basic addition,” said Gabriel Adauto, Motion Math co-founder. Research has shown that a child’s early math ability is crucial for later academic development.
