Matt Gemmell ran through most of the default apps in iOS 6 and a few third party ones to show the differences between the screens on the 4S and the taller iPhone 5. In almost all cases, it’s simply more space. It’s nothing mind blowing when seen as static images, but I’m sure the extra height makes a significant difference in day-to-day usage.
