Now that I have dictation across my Mac, iPhone, and iPad mini I’ve been making a lot more use of the feature. One of the things I’ve noticed over the past few weeks of mumbling at my machines is that they do a pretty good job of understanding little moments of hesitation. Siri is usually smart enough to parse out little utterances like “umm” and “uhh” during dictation, and I’m really quite impressed by that. It’s a great little detail that goes a long way towards making dictation more viable.
