I’m happily using Gmail 2.0 on my iPhone and iPad, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t found the recent teaser of Mailboxapp.com intriguing. I already work off of the idea of using my inbox as a kind of to-do list, so having an app built around that entire concept would be a lot of fun to try.
From what I’ve heard from beta testers on Twitter, Mailbox works with Gmail only, supports push notifications, but is still lacking things like starred items. We’ll see how far the team gets before the v1.0 release, but I’m looking forward to seeing Mailbox for iPhone early next year.
