We here at iSource certainly love our list-making apps and have written about both the loves and hates of many of them. The list-making bug bites me hard and I look high and low for the ease of creating a categorized to-do list with reminders, and currently Any.DO is my default choice – even over Apple’s Reminder app.
I have been using Any.DO for months now – both the app and the Chrome browser extension – and their recent iOS app update (12/18/12) adds location-based reminders: “Go to the bank when I leave work” or “Put the trash out when I get home.” Like everything about Any.DO, it is easy and intuitive to set up and use.
To activate location reminders, you’re prompted to invite 3 friends to try Any.DO (though I “canceled” the text message and still activated location reminders). I tried it out right away and it works flawlessly. For example, within a block of leaving work and walking to my car, I got a polite new tone and pop-up on the lock screen. Perfect! Now, if they’d only add an iPad universal app to the next update.
There are many to-do list makers out there (check some of what we’ve written about here), and Any.DO should be at the top of that to-do list.
