Androids system is getting much better than apple”s ios. People just buy Apple products because they are expensive, and if they are expensive they think its fancy…but no…lets be real, and buy samsung galaxy notes 10.1…its better.. MULTITASKING!! can you do this with an ipad? HA NO. 7.000 mAh batterie! Micro SD Card! you pay like 10 dlls for double of the storage, meanwhile, with the ipad you pay like 200 dlls more….

to conclude, be clever, buy the best, and by that i mean……

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 10.1.

I also think iPad will be better than note so i will go for that.

I used to recharge my iPad every 2 days due to constant use. I’m now charging it every 7 days, while I charge my Note 10.1 every 1-2 days and I don’t have games on my Note 10.1 *-*
Way more productive.

Devi es too, but i cant go back to ipad, in africa where internet is an issue, trust me you’ll hate to carry the ipad, exchanging data is a big issue! The is so flexible with widget so can make the look so beautiful and productive, you can expand the memory, go to a concrence and get all your jottings, send it as jpeg etc. Im sticking with this.

Thank you for putting it so succinctly, I am a student who loves the dual app and note taking abilities… hubby loves how easy the apps are on iPad. I am an apple deserter, who still has three iPods, an apple desktop, and an old iPhone that provides my son with games to play on long car trips. I love my galaxy phone and 10.1 note. Won’t be looking back anytime soon!

Are you using it with a projector of some kind?

What kind of apps are you using in the classroom?

Jellybean was just released for the Galaxy Note 10.1 a couple of weeks ago. You will need to update the tablet when you purchase it. It may come out of the box with Ice Cream Sandwich running but an update will be waiting for you to download and install. Enjoy the Note if you get it! It is truly a unique tablet that is fun to use.

When you plug the Note 10.1 into your PC (or any android device for that matter), it becomes a USB device for dragging and dropping – doesn’t get much easier than that!

I think I would be happier with the Galaxy. You reference it running the latest version of jellybean. All I have found is the ice cream sandwich. Can you help me?

It's amazing how fanboys refuse to like and use a competing product to its fullest extent. Android has just as many key apps and games as iOS. It has one of the better screens with an exceptional screen being announced later this month with an update. While you tried to be unbiased, as a fanboy you went back to your old blanky.. your old standby.

Technically, you can expand the media storage of the iPad and other iOS devices with several Wi-Fi storage devices, such as the Kingston Wi-Drive or the Maxell AirStash. I realize that this isn’t the same as an built-in flash or an SD Card, but the Wi-Drive is actually much cheaper than a 16GB bump from Apple. I have both, ans they work very well.

Two things that might still be drawbacks though are 3rd party apps and battery life.

I use a Note 2 and iPad 3. Sum up is iPad is best for consumption and Android better for productivity. I suspect I cloud is less attractive for pc users as it seems too locked down.

I am actually a teacher as well. The note taking app and s-pen work great for making classroom plans and notes. I used it in the classroom as my daily plan book during testing and loved it. There were so many times the multitasking helped me quickly pull information off the web and onto my documents, handouts, and worksheets. I think the Note is a great choice for teachers.

Good point. The micro sd I bought to use with the Note is by no means top of the line, but apps, photos, and music load and run off of it petfectly fine. This is still not something possible to do at all with the iPad.

Yes there is a nice Skydrive App for Android that lets you open most file types in many different Android apps.

If I cant load from-modify and save to dropbox easily, its pointless. So I use polaris, which seems to be a poorer copy of the andriod version.

The expandable storage, stylus and multi tasking are tempting and I have looked at the note 10.1 a few times.

Good and helpful comparison, thanks!

The main follow-up question I would like to raise is whether / how easy it is to sign into Microsoft Skydrive online (i.e., using a web browser) in your Note? — I.e., is it possible to sign into Skydrive and to create / edit documents, ppt files, excel spreadsheets using the Note? If this is possible, then I might head out to pick up a Note today . . . .
