Another day, another iWatch concept. This one comes to us from designer Martin Hajek and takes some obvious cues from the iPhone 5 (why not) and pairs it with a bit of curved glass to create a sleek, fashionable design. The question is: would wear it?
Personally, I’m not sold on the smartwatch concept in general, but this dreamed-up iWatch looks good enough to get my consideration. The concept doesn’t try to do too much, rather it sets realistic expectations for what Apple might eventually release.
But are we even sold that Apple has an iWatch up its sleeve? Chatter boiled over in recent weeks but has since faded a bit. It still seems a bit outside of Apple’s comfort zone. Then again, they did release a tablet after insisting they wouldn’t. They increased the size of the iPhone display after insisting they wouldn’t. And further fragmented with a third screen size with the iPad mini. So it’s not outside of the realm of possibilities.
And to that point, Hajek’s design wouldn’t be a bad place to start. It would fit right in with Apple’s current line of mobile offerings.
