We may never know why iTunes 11 did away with the track progress bar in the MiniPlayer, but it’s back in the latest update to Apple’s media management software. While jump to version 11.0.3 sounds like it could be a minor one, Apple has taken the opportunity to address a number of design choices that many users took issue with in the massive overhaul that was iTunes 11.
Alongside the return of the progress bar, iTunes 11.0.3 also features an improved Songs View, multi-disc albums displayed as a single album, and a new album artwork view in the MiniPlayer. The update can be downloaded now via OS X’s Software Update.
