True. I was basing my judgement of the Fitbit Flex as a better value over the Jawbone up for 2 main reasons (the only 2 reasons I could say without owning the Up)

1. The Jawbone Up has no feedback on the device while the Flex at least has a basic feedback system of lights on the wristband

2. The Flex is quite a bit cheaper than the Jawbone Up, and from everything I have read does everything, if not more, than the Jawbone Up does.

These were all I could say in my article but I do feel strongly that these two reasons make it a better value.

Thanks for your comments and I appreciate your feedback as a writer. It will help me in my future reviews to make sure I am as clear as possible when comparing products.

Have a great day!

I appreciate what you’re saying, but you admit yourself that you’ve never owned the Up so probably don’t know what it’s like to use, but you still say in your comment that the Flex is the best value of all wearable wristband trackers.
I’ve owned the previous Fitbit and am wondering which to get next. Your post doesn’t really tell me anything other than you like the Flex better than the Fuelband.
The post is well written and is full of good info. I just don’t think someone can say something is the “best of all” in a review when they haven’t tried “all”.

I compared it in price (Fitbit comes in much cheaper than Fuelband and Jawbone), ease of syncing (automatic for the Fitibit), battery life (better than the Fuelband, not sure about the Jawbone as I haven’t owned that one), and listed many features that the Fuelband does not have (sleep tracking, diet tracking, silent alarm).

I personally owned a Fuelband for about a year and that was why I focused on comparisons to that more than the Jawbone Up.

This article was meant to be more of a review and a way of showing that I feel the Fitbit Flex is the best value of all wearable wristband fitness trackers at the moment.

Often we do receive products to review from the companies directly, but this review was written after I personally purchased the product for myself and enjoyed using it so much. Fitbit did not send us any product nor is this a sponsored post in any way. Just the musings of a happy Fitbit Flex owner who is impressed by the value he got in the product.

A few brief mentions about the Up and Fuelband, but not a direct comparison in every category. What do the other options apps look like, what info do they have, what price are the alternatives, how long did you try them out for?
Looks like this post was sponsored.

I have been looking at these, as well as the competition. I appreciate the information!
