The appeal of an iPod Touch, though, is the younger generation. My 10 year old can have all the luxuries of an iPhone without having a phone number. They still receive timely OS updates, and play all the games and other media that makes them desirable. It’s a compelling sale for parents.

yeah honestly, I’m surprised Apple is still pushing out new iPods at this rate. the iphone has made them nearly obsolete.

I feel like that number might be going down as smartphones keep becoming more accessible. I like my ipod touch, but i wouldn’t buy the new generation. I already have a smartphone, and I have an iPad. Most people have one of those, at least.
