I mean if the phone works and they replace the screen it’s the same as having a new device. It’s still the same phone you would have gotten.

I like the idea. And since most times insurance claims are done because of screen repairs, users might not need to opt in for Apple Care. I mean how many phones do you really break? I go through about 3 phones a year and break a screen about every 2 years.

I get that there is a huge money savings for them, but their customer service has alway been one of their best atributes. Let’s hope it doesn’t take a hit when these new repair process go into effect.
