Snapchat might be quickly growing to become one of the most popular platforms for sharing photos and videos with friends, but there is no denying that the mobile app needed a bit of polish. It got some an more with the update to version 5.0, which refreshes the here-then-gone photo app’s user interface with swipe-based navigation while adding several new features.
Users can now reply directly any snap with a double-tap (though it appears there is no way to differentiate a reply from a standard snap), a much-requested feature. Snapchat also gains in-app profiles, new ways to add friends, and the ability to send snaps from the address book.
The fresh coat of paint and new features were much needed, as Snapchat was quickly outgrowing its last update. Grab Snapchat 5.0 “Banquo” from the App Store now.
