The iOS 7 version feels like it fits the platform MUCH better. The only thing I don’t like is that you still have to double-tap the hole button to get to it. It would feel more seamless if they added a gesture to open it, as with Control Center and Notification Center. Even the new Spotlight search is tied to a gesture.
