I hear ya, my wife has the GS3. It lags, simple as that. THAT is the damned UI from samsung for ya (which hopefully gets better with GS4 with the focus on software). Which is part of Androids problem, Motoblur, Touchwiz, Sense etc…. I have a sense phone and everything is smooth as butter. I concede that iphone ‘experience’ is pretty much uniform across ALL of their devices. Which is a good thing, AND a bad thing…

Can’t lump an entire OS together like that. If you have a pantech POS with a 800mhz cpu and 512 ram running JB can you really say, “Android lags!” I don’t think that is fair.

I have a quad-core, 2gigs ram powerhouse HTC KB phone that FLIES! I also have the iPhone 5. Both have their uses….

I’m amazed at what they accomplished in just 7 months. And because of that tight timeframe, I’m not surprised that there are some complaints about the consistency of the UI right now. But give them some time to refine this first step. Remember that Android ICS had some weird and inconsistent spots as well, which were mostly smoothed out a year later in Jellybean. I expect that we will see a few minor graphical and UI tweaks in the iOS 7 betas, followed by some bigger refinements next year in iOS 8.
