
iOS users will be thrown onto the battlefield in the latest from Firaxis, a port of last year’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown (itself a remake of 1994’s UFO: Enemy Unknown). The turn-based sci-fi strategy game throws players into the near future to fend off an invading alien force.
The game will be available June 20th for iOS devices including the iPad 2 and later (including mini), iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, as we well as the fifth-generation iPod touch. The game will feature the same action-packed alien warfare as its Mac and PC counterparts; a multiplayer mode will reach devices later via an update. But don’t expect to get it all for cheap or free. The asking price is set at $19.99, but for fans of the series that will be an easy pill to swallow.
