iPhone 5S display assembly purportedly leaks

As Apple ramps up to their big iPhone 5S unveil in September, mass production of the device is said to be already under way. One benefit of this is that leaks will surely start to flow a bit freer, and that includes this look at what is claimed to be the display assemble of Apple’s next iPhone.

It certainly matches up with what we have been hearing, looking non too different from the iPhone 5. If legit, it also confirms that Apple will still offer the phone in a black/graphite option. There were rumors circulating that that particular model could be nixed.

What the display assembly doesn’t tell us is how how the resolution and other factors might change. There have been whispers of Apple going with a higher resolution display in the iPhone 5S, but given that the size looks to remain the same pixel real estate is getting pretty tight.

So, it’s a leak that, if true, reveals a lot while revealing little. And that’s sort of what we expected from a device that doesn’t look to change much externally from its predecessor.
