Apple has just brought two new premium content streaming services into the Apple TV fold, announcing that HBO GO and WatchESPN are now available for owners of the media streaming box. It’s about time, right?
Apple hasn’t displayed much of a sense of urgency when it comes to adding new content streams to its TV platform. Actually, the company hasn’t shown much urgency with Apple TV at all. Still, those that rely on the box for access to other services such as Hulu Plus and Netflix will surely welcome the new options.
HBO GO requires a subscription via your television provider and affords access to on demand shows, movies, and more. WatchESPN also requires the prerequisite television service and offer live streaming of the ESPN channel lineup as well as on demand content.
