Microsoft overhauls OneNote for iOS in latest update

When it comes to note taking on your mobile device, there are plenty of great options. Microsoft’s just got a lot better. Today the company announced an updated and overhauled version of OneNote for iPhone and iPad featuring interface tweaks, rich formatting, easy sharing, and  — perhaps most importantly — free unlimited notes.

The look of OneNote has now been unified across all interfaces. Whether you are pulling up a note via SkyDrive on your iPhone or iPad (or even an Android), you will get a consistent experience regardless of the device. For iPad users, this includes the Office Ribbon UI for quick access to rich formatting options.

Of course, no mobile note taking app would be complete without ample sharing options, and OneNote has those. But more exciting for power users will be the removal of a limit on the number of free notes that can be stored.

The latest version of OneNote is available now from the App Store. Download it for free.
