Reports are circling the nets that Apple’s iPhone activation servers are currently down. Apparently, MacRumors, has confirmed as much with an AT&T representative. This outage comes a week after Apple’s developer servers suffered a security breach, but at this time the two incidents appear unrelated.
The problem initially surfaced earlier this afternoon and Apple has yet to issue a formal statement on the matter. A timetable for the return of activation service has not been made public.
