The midweek update to iOS 7 beta 6 wasn’t the last Apple has in store for, despite speculation that there would only be one pre-release update after beta 5. That’s if you are keen to believe the latest whispers to emerge from Cupertino.
We won’t have to wait long to find out, as reports are that iOS 7 beta 7 is due out around 1PM today. If all goes according to plan, this should mark the last beta release before the overhauled iOS update is made available to the general public.
The reason from the differing timeline apparently has to do with the iCloud patch delivered as part of beta 6. This was deemed an “emergency” and thus quickly fixed, though the update was not inline with the improvements Apple had initially intended to release with the final beta build.
Thus beta 7 should reach developer devices today, giving Apple a couple of weeks to put any finishing touches on iOS 7 before a September 10th event to launch the next generation of iPhone devices.
