No, that is why the potential for a jailbreak for 6.1.4 is so important for people who upgraded, or bought newer devices with 6.1.4 already loaded.

All we know right now is that @winocm is working on the jailbreak, and that he has it running on his own personal iPhone. Releasing a jailbreak to the public is much more intensive, and right now there is no timeline. Stay tuned to iSource, though, because as soon as we know more, I will post about it right here.

“why now”that is the part that got me.

But yeah, I agree, people that don’t want to upgrade to the next phone or OS and still want Jailbreak, then I guess this is good for them.

Good points, thanks for the comment. The exploit will not work on iOS 7, so no harm no foul. It’s funny, though, to hear people talk about it like if he’s working on_anything_it should be iOS 7 only. As if he’s wasting his time on old news. I guess we really won’t know how long until iOS 7 or 7.x will be jailbroken. Maybe we’ll be luckier this time, and it won’t take too long.

If he can do it without burning anything that’ll work on iOS 7, which seems likely, WHY NOT release it now?
