Actually you’re 100% right (I was thinking in a Windows mindset). If the OS takes advantage it can move 32 bit data two chunks at a time.

actually, a 64 bit cpu can also MOVE data around faster than a 32 bit cpu – and if the ALU is 64 bit too (i haven’t checked the specs and am not confident apple would even disclose this) it could also crunch data more efficiently. algorithms that operate on larger-than-64-bit data (say RSA for example) grow less efficient at a non-linear rate (greater than 1) for CPU/ALU architectures less than the data width required (key size, for RSA).

all of that being said, i’m still not impressed with the new apple devices. i’m biased against them, though, so perhaps impressing me is a bad litmus test for a ‘good product’.

Yea they weren’t very transparent, even with the camera, they mentioned ultra pixels but how many ?

Cool, but when these devices aren’t even pushing 3GB (Newest Android) of RAM yet does it MATTER? No. Especially when this phone is citing 1GB for it’s spec. There’s really no other advantage other than being able to address more memory AFAIK. Camera improvements are cool, but staying low on pixel count though better low light pictures. None of this a surprise, but it looks like until the iPhone6 Apple will remain the fanboi’s choice IMO.

LOL It’s called Moore’s law man. It applies to cell phone electronics no differently. Not hating, but that kind of marketing simply insulting if you have half a brain!
