If you didn’t jump at your first opportunity to pre-order the new iPhone 5C, there’s a good chance you’ll have to wait until after its September 20th release date to get the handset. That is, if you want an unlocked model, anyway. All five color options now show a ship by date of September 25th when purchasing from Apple’s online store.
The good news? If you buy at a subsidized price with a two-year carrier agreement, as of writing the phone will still ship in time for launch day from AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Purchasing full price with a T-Mobile SIM pre-intalled also guarantees September 20th delivery.
iPhone 5C pre-orders only began last Friday, so it would seem Apple has another hot seller on their hands. The new “low-cost” iPhone will be available for purchase in stores alongside the new iPhone 5S later this week.
