Skype is among the latest to adopt iOS 7's design standards as part of a new update available today. The "refreshed look and feel" is nice, but here's hoping performance is a little bit smoother, as well.

Skype updated with iOS 7 ‘look and feel’

Skype is joining the growing list of apps to fall in step with Apple’s new iOS 7 design standards. An update to the messaging service has landed in the App Store today touting a “refreshed look and feel” for the iPhone’s latest platform update.

That’s the major takeaway of the release that also includes improved accessibility options for touchtype support and VoiceOver. Users can expect general bug fixes and stability improvements as well.

The latest Skype release, though styled for iOS 7, is compatible back to the iPhone 3GS and third-generation iPhone Touch. If you’re still on iOS 5 or iOS 6, you’re good to go as well. Skype 4.13 is available as a free download from the App Store now.
