Apple launches iPhone trade-in program in UK

Apple’s in-store iPhone trade-in program, which launched in the US a few months back, is making its way to the UK this week. The Cupertino-based tech giant announced today that their stores in the UK will now recycle customers’ older iPhone models and provide  credit toward the purchase of a new model.

A trade-in value is assigned based on device condition and age, much like a number of existing third-party programs. Apple’s service typically does not provide the highest return on investment, but the company hopes it offers a streamlined way to upgrade with the benefit of additional cost savings.
