With Apple’s iPad unveiling event a little over 24 hours away, the WSJ is throwing their weight behind rumors that the iPad mini will see a refresh that includes a high-resolution Retina display. It has long been expected that Apple would bring their trademark screen technology to the smaller iPad model, but there has been a bit of hesitancy as to whether they would do so with the next generation.
Still, speculation on the Retina iPad mini reached a head in recent weeks after numerous leaks and reports from analysts tapping Apple’s foreign supply chain. A redesigned version of the 9.7-inch iPad has also been making the rounds — a refresh that has also been confirmed by the WSJ.
Apple is expected to show off the updated tablets at an event in California tomorrow. The same show might also include Mac hardware and software announcements along with Apple TV news and more.
