The iOS 7.1 beta is now available for developers, but can we expect any major changes to Apple’s already-overhauled mobile platform? Initial impressions suggest not.

Apple seeds iOS 7.1 beta to developers

The public release of iOS 7 was recently updated to version 7.0.4, but Apple is pushing ahead even further on the developer channel. A beta version of iOS 7.1 is now available for download for registered iOS developers at Apple’s Dev Center. The update is compatible all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices capable of running iOS 7.

The release notes highlight a number of behind-the-scenes fixes for bugs and glitches, but no major user-facing tweaks are mentioned or immediately stick out. The release seems more geared toward aiding developers in the creation of iOS apps, providing all the necessary tools as part of iOS SDK 7.0.1. We’ll be digging in to see if we can spot any differences not mentioned.
