One of the many benefits with writing about tech is we get to see a lot of cool ideas when they are first being imagined before they even get to the market and become available for purchase. In addition, with awesome sites like Kickstarter we get to see the whole process evolve from an idea to a fully supported and funded project, to a final product that is shipped right to you. There are plenty of great ideas out there, but when something special comes along you can’t help but want to share it with everyone. That’s how we feel about the FLUX+FLAP iPad case, the world’s first iPad case to use magnets to create unlimited viewing angles for your iPad.
Most cases support and protect the iPad but restrict the users viewing angles. With people constantly moving and shifting positions to stay comfortable we set out to create a case that offers freedom from the dreaded ‘awkward angle’, no matter your body position. The Flux+Flap is everything that your current iPad case is and so much more
The FLUX+FLAP went live on Kickstarter a little over a week ago, and they have already reached their goal with a little over a month left in the funding period. If the excitement and early funding blitz is any indication of the confidence backers are feeling right now, I see a bright future for the FLUX+FLAP. We plan on getting our hands on one of these gems to review when they are expected to start shipping next Spring (April 2014). But until then, take a look at the video below and let us know what you think about the potential of the first iPad case to use magnets to keep your viewing angle right where you want/need it–and keep it there! When the FLUX+FLAP goes live it will be available for your iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad 2, 3, 4 and iPad Air.
