LeAnn Rimes’ video for “Gasoline and Matches” features a combination of stop-motion and traditional video, all shot using an iPhone. The results are impressive, to say the least.

LeAnn Rimes and Rob Thomas’ latest music video was shot entirely with an iPhone

Say what you will about the musical careers of LeAnn Rimes and Rob Thomas (of Matchbox Twenty), but their latest music video is a worth a watch, even with the volume turned down. Why? Because the combination of stop-motion and and traditional video was shot entirely with an iPhone.

The iPhone wasn’t just for filming, either. The entire setup actually consisted of three iPhone handsets: one to shoot the video, one to play back the song during filming, and one “to document the fun,” according the video’s co-producer. He says the iPhone wasn’t chosen as part of a larger publicity stunt, but rather because it provided all the tools they needed in a portable and capable package.

We’re assuming these shots come from an iPhone 5S (simply because the video looks pretty darn good), but the actual phone used wasn’t specified. Of course, post-processing can do wonders.
