iOS & Mac Holiday app sales

HolidayAppsandGames.jpgIt’s that time of year again.  The weekend before Christmas is notoriously the time of year when Apple goes quiet for the holidays.  As a result two things always happen–their employees get to spend time off with their families, AND, like clock-work, there are deeply discounted apps and countless holiday sales.  Makes perfect sense.  Millions of new iOS owners are about to be introduced to the App Store.  What better way to get them excited about buying your apps then to offer an amazing sale to get them started.  With iTunes Connect down from December 21 to December 27, developers will not be able to make changes to their apps, so sales prices will last almost a a full week.

We noticed EA was running a big sale on many of their most popular games, and we wanted to get you started with your wish list downloads ASAP.  Make sure to check back over the next week to see if we have found anymore that are worth a mention.  In addition, AppShopper is a great tool for finding new apps on sale and creating a wish of your own for tracking when your favorite apps are on sale.

EA Sports claims to have over 40 titles participating in their $0.99 sale.  Here are a few of the top titles in that offering in no particular order.  What are you waiting for?!  Happy downloading.

In addition, the folks over at TouchArcade have created a monster list that is just too big to recreate here. Props to them for all the hard work.
